So, I'm not dead yet...even though the lack of entries might lead you to believe otherwise. Five months really is sick. That's by far the longest I've ever gone without updating.

As you're probably aware, the website that was hosting my journal (Diary-X) crashed and lost all of the data. Fortunately, I'd backed up a large portion of my entries and was able to dig a lot of the others out of Google and Yahoo's caches. Unfortunately, restoring the entries to my server has taken quite a bit of effort and has loomed as a daunting task for quite a while.

Fortunately, I've gotten all of the text (that wasn't lost) back up, but I still have to do some formatting on the entries from 2004 through the middle of 2005. You'll notice that the entries with * by them are missing pictures and links. Hopefully I'll fix those soon.

As for a real update, I've got lots and lots of stuff to talk about (as you can imagine after a five month hiatus), and I've really missed writing. I feel very disconnected. I think that I'll get around to writing it within the next week...so you've got something to look forward to. I know you're having a hard time containing your excitement, but try to avoid peeing on the rug.
