A new month, a new entry. Seriously, it was almost nine days, and you guys did give me a lot of comments.

Well, my second week of school is over. Only three more to go. It's amazing how quickly things can change when school is flying by at a fast pace.

I went home last Friday night. Got some Chinese food with David W in Atlanta on the way and tried to play some DDR at the Georgia Tech Rec Center, but it was closed for Memorial Day Weekend. What kind of cheesy excuse is that? As David and I noted...what are the nerds going to do? Obviously, they won't be going to the beach. I mean, they'd fry. haha. Funny thing is, I really like the game, and I'm working incredibly hard to shed my paleness. =)

I spent most of Saturday at home and went to go hang out with Jordan, David A, and some other guys that night, but couldn't reach them until late. Ended up detouring to David L's and hung out with him and some other people. We watched some really strange movie called "Mullholland Drive". It's difficult to say it had a "plot" per se, but it was well-made and interesting despite its randomness giving you a "What in the hell?"-laugh every minute or so. I think I understand it a bit better after reading some reviews.

Since I had Monday off, Jordan, David A, and I decided to go visit DW in Atlanta on Sunday night. We mostly just hung around, watched some tv, and talked. Oh, and bugged Jordan while he e-mailed his new g/f Denise. hehe.

Monday I went back to Auburn, and was prepared to accomplish something productive, but it never really panned out. Composition is becoming more fun, despite the workload, conversation is a little bit more relaxed, and Public Speaking is cool, but I think the newness may have worn off a bit.

Thursday night, I got a few hours of sleep. Had to get up early and write a paper in Spanish, prepare a brief presentation in Spanish, write a speech comparing my life to "Family Ties", and write a short paper about an Italian film.

After that, I had to solve a dilemma. Kevin had invited me to Mobile, Dave and the guys had invited to do stuff in Auburn, and I had been planning to come to Chattanooga. The problem was that I may have to go to Chattanooga again next weekend, which means that would be five weekends in a row at home. Despite a lot of factors, I ended up coming home, and am sitting in my room at the moment getting ready to go out this evening. Oh, and Jordan is leaving after this weekend for a while and David W came up, so it probably was the best decision. I was planning to go climbing this morning with them, but I've been so worn out from the week that I ended up falling back asleep.

On the girl front, the week has been full of a cold front moving in from the direction of public speaking (I realized the girl that sits in front of me probably would not speak to me if I didn't speak to her, which brings me to the conclusion that I won't be carrying out my plan to inquire about a date), and look this evening for a partial chance of seeing a girl that my mom was trying to hook me up with.

Last night, I was informed that I used to take on some sort of pitiful voice when I try to be optimistic in the face of an obstacle. DW and Jordan couldn't come up with a concrete example and didn't remember it happening recently, but apparently it'd happen when I tried to convince myself and others that a girl really wasn't as bad as she appeared. I have no recollection of this, and was somewhat upset over the accusation. =)

Oh, and I know some of you guys were slightly antagonistic last week. But, do you want a log of my week or a catalogue of my thoughts? I try to strike a balance in there. Sometimes, something that really isn't that big of a deal can come across the wrong way, I think. Honestly, I don't go through the day "worrying" all the time, like I may seem to here. This is just an outlet for some of those thoughts, so sometimes it appears to be the focus when it isn't.

Finally, I'm going to turn into a guest on MTV's TRL very briefly. Shout outs to Sarah and Jessica, and Rick and John. Peace out. Word to yo momma.

Oh, the list in last week's entry was slightly revised also.

Quick update...saw "Say Anything" with John Cusack this evening. Good movie, untraditional romantic comedy, and I agree with this definition: "What's a date?" "A date is prearrangement...with the possiblity of love."

"I have no recollection of this..."

I'd like to know where the messenger found that wise saying. :) I've plagerized it (I hope you don't mind).

On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball
When somebody sneezed

Here's something I recently found from a very very wise source, and when one finds something as wise as this, it's natural one would want to pass it on.

"One thing that I have learned in life is that every day is its own special jewel. Some days prettier than others. but all of them have their own characteristics. There is something to be learned every new day. And every day when we wake up in the morning we can start fresh. Whatever happened the day before is over and passed and it can never return. We cannot go back and undo what we did yesterday. That's why it is also important not to dwell on the past or look back in regret or sorrow, but look at each new day as a new moment, a new day."
