Well, ya see...English journals ended...and I wasn't feeling well...but no, I don't have a good excuse for the long gap between entries. Anyway...
I hate it when I wait so long...always forces me to think way back about what I've been thinking and doing.
Well, that CS Project never really worked. I mean, it kind of worked...like did some of the calculations...but I couldn't get it to display anything. So, I'm hoping for at least a little bit of credit. It's worth 10%, but at the same time, it's only worth 10%. We'll see when I get the grade next week. Other than that...well, I really did let myself get out of the school spirit with the closing weeks. Basically it's left me hanging with a great sense of guilt and anxiousness.
Again, my sleeping schedule has been whacked out, but then again, what's new? I'll go two days with a couple hours then sleep for half a day. When/if Devin and I get this apartment next year, it's only going to multiply the insanity. Oh, that's the other thing that I've really been dealing with the past couple of days. First, Devin wasn't sure he was coming back. Then, he was coming back if he could find a place. Seeing as I offered earlier, he asked me. So, we went apartment hunting and found two places. Then, he wasn't sure if he was coming back or not again. Then, he definitely was and we started debating over which place. He really wants to play drums and it became somewhat the essential element to the argument. I've assured him that he'll be able to play them at the one that I prefer (which just so happens to be newer, nicer, closer, and bigger). Anyway, I think I pressured him a little too much on it and probably left him with a lot of stress. So, we're just chilling out now and waiting to see what he decides. Either we'll be in that place (which I'm really hoping for) or he's going back to Mobile.
This past weekend, I really took my first "road trip" (I mean, beyond Montgomery) for a day trip to the beach in Destin. Jenny, Amber, and I decided earlier last week to make the trip. Both of them love the beach and I hadn't really been to a Florida beach...well, probably since my senior trip at the end of highschool. So we set out at like 7am Saturday morning. The trip took about 3-4 hours, so a decent amount of time, but not too bad. The beach we went to was pretty much perfect. Not too much of a crowd and good quality sand and water. The sky was a smidge cloudy and the water a tad cool, but all in all, it was great. We laid out for a while, eventually migrating to playing in the sand. I started out building a castle of some sort, but it morphed into a face by the time I finished. Also helped halfway bury the girls...turning Amber into a mermaid and making it look like Jenny was driving a tiny convertible (kind of like a cartoon). We wish we'd had a camera. Anyway, it did give me an awesome idea for the next time I go with a group of people. I want to bury a lot of people and make it look like they're all driving bumper cars. Burned a bit (despite applying lotion twice) and ate waaay too much crab, but overall, the trip was great and I'm really glad that I went.
When I got home, I still didn't sleep and amused myself on the Plainsman message boards, which has gotten extremely insane and vicious lately. Basically, I'm saying, "Hey people, be nice to eachother," and they're yelling back, "Screw you." Eh well.
After that, I spent Sunday basically recovering and things didn't really pick up until last night when I went over to the guys'. Cat, Natalie, Deidre, and I watched "Gattaca". After the girls left, Cat retreated to his room (haha) and Ros, Devin, and Kevin determined to do the milk challenge - drink a gallon in 60 minutes without puking. This got me to suggesting that they ought to try the saltine challenge - 6 crackers in a minute (sounds easy, but it's really difficult). So, I ran by Walmart to pick some up. While I was at the store, I picked up some tabasco sauce and cinnamon also for two more challenges. I wasn't feeling too well, or I really would've participated. Three vomitings, two gallons of milk, two tablespoons of cinnamon, one tablespoon of garlic powder, one bottle of tabasco sauce, a jar of pickle juice, $40 traded, viewings of "Big Daddy" and "Dumb & Dumber", and a quarter of a bottle of syrup later, the guys had had enough and I went home. The whole thing was pretty amusing. =)
Welp, till next week or maybe just later this week.
